The labs of inf3410 is important for understanding of analog functions in todays microelectronics. The hands-on experience of labs links up with theoretical fundamentals. The importance of inf3410 labs is also reflected in 40% of the final marks are based on lab grading.
Labs:
- Lab responsible: Kristian G Kjelgård (kristigk)
- Questions about lab texts, grading, lab equipment, ...
- Lab-advisor: Geir Arild Byberg (geiraby)
- First line help (using lab equipment, getting your circuit to work properly, ...)
- There will be three labs. All labs are mandatory.
- Groups of 1-2 people: Groups.
- Mandatory signup for lab groups. See Lectureplan and foils for date.
- Each group gets one lab day per week (see Groups), but the lab can also be used when there is available capacity.
- Each lab must be solved in three weeks. See lab plan below. Lab report submissions MUST be on time.
- A lab-advisor will drop by 2-3 times each of the lab-days.
- If you have done the labs an earlier semester, you must still submit lab reports for this semester, but you can use your previous measurement results and answers.

The teaching lab is in the south part of ODJ denoted as the A section at the 5th floor. When at the 5th floor, the room is in the north east corner, with room number 5419. We have 6 stations (4 instuments over the computer) available 24/7. But, on tuesdays and fridays, the Groups posted in the Groups-page are prioritized.Submissions:
- Each group submits one lab report.
- Lab report must be submitted in PDF format.
- Front page should include "INF3410, lab x", group number, names, usernames and date.
- Use page numbering.
- Must be readable as black/white printout (i.e. use colors cautiously).
- Put circuit board in inf3410-drawer in the lab.
- Send mail to kristigk and bassen at ifi.uio.no with PDF file.
- Subject formatting of email: inf3410, group x, lab x
- The lab report MUST be submitted before the deadline! Just send what you have - better than nothing! Send the mail a few minutes before the deadline to be sure. Submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted!
- Collaboration with other/previous groups is advisable, but copying is illegal and will automatically result in a "no-pass" grade.
- The report must be written by the group members only.
- Department of Informatics (Ifi) submission requirements: norwegian / english.
Grading / lab lectures:
- Lab report grading will be available about one week after the deadline. See Groups for passed/failed.
- Answers to the labs will be presented at the lab lectures: See Plan for exercises.
