Lars is a student at the Institute of Informatics at the University of Oslo. That's in Norway. North of Europe. To the left of Sweden up there. He's a sort of computer science person. (You know what they say - «Science is to computer science what hydrodynamics is to plumbing.»)
He is currently plumbing away at his majors work (or whatever it's called in outlandese) at the Institute of Physics, working on an SCI project connected with CASCADE and CERN and stuff.
Lars is also doing a re-write of GNUS, which is called «(ding) Gnus». You can join the (ding) mailing list. No release date has been set for an official release - we are still adding stuff head over heels. Heals. Whatever.
When Lars is not busy pretending to be a computer nerd, he does a pretty good impression of being a music geek boy. The two sometimes combine - just take a look at the eyesore data base.
