The DSFMC usually has in the range of 50-70 members, also counting the 'non active' ones.
Most of these act as private musketeers, and a few as light infantry (jägers).
Because we usually demonstrate platoon and/or batallion tactics, we also have two
'amusettes' as batallion artillery. The amusettes are light 1 pound infantry cannons.
Our cavalry section is less stable, it's numbers varying from none to 10 dragoons.
Last but not least there's the Sutler section, or Marketenders. They keep us supplied
with food & drink, and sell souvernirs to the spectators.
The uniforms used by our soldiers represent several regiments, a cross section of the norwegian army rather than a single unit. There are also other variations typical of the period like, blue reglulation pants or cheap grey subtstitutes, old style round Castor hats or 'new' french type Chacots. Details of our most common uniforms are listed below. All these regiments were based in south-east Norway.

Our Camp
In order to recreate historic camps we have quite a number of tents, coocking utensils etc.
As well as being a display of military life in field, the camp provides us with
acommodation during reenactments and other events.
The Tents
20 soldier's tents (12m2)
2 officers tents
1 Staff tent (50m2)
2 Sutler's tents (36m2).
The Garrison Company of 1608.
In 1608 the garrison in Akershus Castle consisted of
10 knechts and 2 gunners under a Vaktmester (Wachtmeister). In preparation of the
Castle's 700th anniversary we received enough funding to recreate the garrison 1-to-1!
Only, the gunners were actually in charge of the artillery, but we have equiped them with
matchlock muskets. The rest of the soldiers have pikeman's armour and halberds (for indoor use)
as well as pikes. If need be a drummer can be substituted for one of the musketeers, we also got hold of
a huge 1600 hundred's drum.
