I am a professor at the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo, Norway. After completing my doctoral studies at Florida International University, I have held research and teaching positions at the Universities of Cambridge and Salford in the UK and at the University of Alberta in Canada. I have been actively involved in researching social, organizational and managerial implications of information systems, both in developed and developing countries. My current research activities include health Information systems, and issues relating to global software organizations I have published extensively both in IS and organization studies. I have done consultancy work in several different countries on the issues of global outsourcing and health information systems. My work in Tajikistan and India are among the ones to be mentioned
