Minisymposium: Advanced computing in Geosciences

The recent advances in computer hardware have opened for new possibilities of more accurate and efficient modeling in all branches of the Geosciences. However, to fully utilize the unprecedented computing power, progress in the following topics are urgently needed: This minisymposium therefore aims to provide a forum for researchers to report their latest research results addressing the above topics.

The minisymposium will be part of the PARA 2008 Workshop, to be held in Trondheim, Norway, on May 13-16, 2008. Accepted papers will be published in a book volume in the Springer series of Lectures Notes in Computer Science. (The latest proceedings book can be viewed online here.)
